Join us Friday January 31st from 6-8 PM for a Final Friday Listen session featuring the music of Chanel Beads’ Your Day Will Come and Mk.gee’s Two Star and the Dream Police.
Both albums will be played on a Brinkmann Taurus turntable equipped with a Mutech Hayabusa MC cartridge. The signal will pass through a Chord Symphonic phono preamp, a Gryphon Diablo 333 integrated amplifier, cabled with Transparent Audio and delivered via Wilson Sasha V loudspeakers.

Quebec will be spun on a Brinkmann Taurus turntable w/ a Hana Umami Red MC cartridge through an Audio Research Ref Phono 3SE preamp, Gryphon Essence preamp/amp combo and Wilson WATT/Puppy loudspeakers. Needle drop at 6:15.

Friday May 31st from 6 - 8 PM at Crescendo for a Final Friday Listen session featuring the music of The Wood Brothers Loaded (2008) from Blue Note records and Live vol 1: Sky High and Live vol 2: Nail & Tooth(2012) from Southern Ground records.
The American roots trio includes Boulder born Chris and Oliver Wood as well percussionist Jano Rix. Chris Wood is the upright bassist and the W in the famous jazz fusion trio MMW (Medeski Martin Wood) based out of NYC. Oliver Wood founded a blues band called King Johnson out of Atlanta. The brothers re-united many years later to form the duo (eventually trio) and released their debut album Ways Not to Lose in 2006.
The albums will be featured through a Rega Planar 6 turntable equipped with an Ortofon 2mr Blue cartridge. System will be powered by a Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum Dark tube integrated amp feeding a pair of Wilson Audio Tune Tot loudspeakers with Shunyata Alpha v2 NR cabling.

The albums will be featured through a Luxman PD-151 mkii turntable equipped with a Hana Umami Blue cartridge. System will be powered by an Octave V70 class A tube integrated amp feeding a pair of Wilson Audio Sabrina X loudspeakers with Transparent Super cabling and power conditioning.

The album will be featured through an SME Model 15 turntable w/ S309 arm equipped with an Ortofon Quintet Bronze cartridge. System will be powered by a Chord Electronics Symphonic phono preamp, Audio Research Ref 6SE line stage preamp and Ref 160 stereo amplifier feeding a pair of Dynaudio Confidence 30 loudspeakers with Transparent Audio Reference cabling.

We will feature the album through a Brinkmann Bardo turntable equipped with an Mutech Hyabusa cartridge. System will be powered by an Audio Research Ref 6SE preamp and Ref 160 stereo amplifier feeding a pair of Wilson Audio Sasha V loudspeakers. The source will be an original 1972 UK United Artist Records pressing.

Friday January 26th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Crescendo Fine Audio for a Final Friday Listening session featuring The Smile’s - Wall of Eyes.
The Smile is a power trio featuring Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood plus Sons of Kemet's Tom Skinner. The bands debut album A Light for Attracting Attention and subsequent concerts at The Mission Ballroom were fantastic. We anticipate their follow-up album Wall of Eyes to be equally exciting.
Crescendo will feature the album through an SME Model 6 Classic turntable equipped with a Hana ML MC cartridge. System will be powered by a Luxman L-590Z integrated amp feeding a pair Wilson Audio Sasha V loudspeakers.
Complimentary refreshments from Get Right’s bakery will be served. A limited number vinyl LP’s of The Smile - Wall of Eyes will be available for purchase for $25.
